ELA Period 4 HC Assignments

Notebooks will be collected tomorrow.  I'll be checking two pages:  p. 40 and 4 SQUARE. Both of these assignments are connected to the academic vocabulary entry you made on p. 41. You need to make sure they are creative, neat, legible, and demonstrate your best effort. 

Finish the end-book reflection posted in G.C. Make sure you are addressing all questions to earn full credit for your reflection. 

Finish the document glued to p. 32 of Interactive Notebook (Draw It, List It, Question It, Write It).  

Complete the Mid-book reflection posted in Google Classroom.  Due tomorrow!

Finish I.N. p. 22-constructed responses.  Make sure to color-code each part (SAY is blue, SHOW is yellow).  You can also go back and decorate the page to spice it up a little!  

Finish the Draw It, List It, Question It, Write It glued to p. 18 of your I.N. Please make sure you are using color pencils in the Draw It box.  

Finish the CAASPP Analysis we started in class together on Friday which is glued to p. 14 of I.N.  Make sure all parts are complete, including the COLORFUL ILLUSTRATION at the bottom of the document. 

Please make sure you finish the Edpuzzle Foreshadowing activity posted in Google Classroom yesterday.  It needs to be submitted by tomorrow.   

Finish academic vocabulary 4 SQUARE activity (we glued it to p. 8 of notebooks last Friday).  

1. Complete the exposition reflection in Google Classroom

 

2.  Finish I.N. p. 10 (use your color pencils)

 

I.N. p. 8.  Demonstrate your understanding of academic vocabulary from page 9 by choosing ONE of the following:

-write a letter to someone about what you learned

-use the vocabulary words appropriately in sentences

-make illustrations representing the words

 

Finish page 6 of Interactive Notebook.  It needs 5 modern-day colloquialisms (write the word, its meaning, and an illustration that represents it).  Make sure you're using colored pencils on left side pages!  Due tomorrow!

Both assignments due Tuesday, 8/28:

 

1.  3-4-5 items for front of I.N.--please have your 12 items with you in class to assemble the front of your notebook.  I will seal them with packing tape for you in class tomorrow.

 

2.  Google Classroom assignment-Prereading for The Outsiders submitted through GC

Your Interactive Notebooks will be collected FRIDAY.  Please make sure you have the following completed:

 

 

Please continue collecting the 3-4-5-5 materials for the front cover of your notebook (8/28).

 

Please find a small photo of you to use for your final draft of the author page.
