About Me

I am an eleven-year English teacher for El Rancho Unified School District.  I have a Bachelor's Degree in English, a Master's Degree in Education, a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, a Single Subject Teaching Credential in English, a Supplementary Authorization in Computer Concepts, and I'm a Google Certified Educator.  I helped draft and finalize the application essays for the California Distinguish School Award in 2009 for Rivera Middle School where I taught for eight years.  I was associated with the Teaching American History Grant for ERUSD in which I worked with other colleagues developing History lesson plans as well as attended monthly lectures at the Huntington Library from 2010-2012.  I created and hosted Purge Poetry Open Mic at the Pico Rivera Library from 2013-2015.  During the 2015-2016 school year, I was a Digital Learning Coach at South Ranchito Dual Language Academy.  Furthermore, I helped write the application essays that granted the STEAM Academy its Gold Ribbon Award in 2017.
