Grade 6 Math introduces students to:
  • Statistics:  Collecting and organizing data
  • Algebra:  Writing and simplifying expressions, solving equations and inequalities
  • Geometry: Finding area, perimeter, surface area and volume
  • Number:  Understanding the meaning of multiplication and division of fractions
  • Ratios:  Using rates and ratios to solve
Our course is based on the Common Core State Standards in Mathematics for Grade 6.  From this class, students have the opportunity to move on to Grade 7 Math or the STEAM Academy's Accelerated 7th/8th math program.
 
We use the CPM program's Core Connections 1.  Visit their website for homework help and parent resources: www.cpm.org   If you are using an eBook, log in at the following sites and use the user name and password assigned to you.
