It is going to be an astronomical day of school for El Rancho Unified School District on August 21st when we get to experience a total solar eclipse event for the first time since 1979. This is an amazing opportunity to learn about astronomy by experiencing a celestial phenomenon.
We recognize this unique opportunity to engage our students in one of nature’s great educational events, and also the importance of ensuring the safety of all students and staff. If teachers and students are planning to view the eclipse, they will need to use approved eyewear. Contact your school directly to learn of activities planned for the day.

Schedule pick up is as follows:
8th grade - 8/10 from 9-11am
7th grade - 8/10 from 12-2pm
6th grade - 8/11 from 9-11am
7th and 8th grade must complete data Confirmation through parent portal. 6th grade must complete registration forms available on our website (http://steam.erusd.org/apps/pages/index.jsp?uREC_ID=312515&type=d&pREC_ID=717971).

To help stop its spread, state law mandates that ALL students entering 7th grade be vaccinated and provide proof of a Tdap vaccine booster at the beginning of the school year.
