AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a college readiness elective class held each day. It is offered as a way to prepare students to be college and career ready. The curriculum includes writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, reading, note-taking, study skills, tutorials, college/career building activities, team challenges, college visits, and opportunities for service learning.

El Rancho Unified School District's LCAP is a plan that aligns the District's educational goals with financial resources. Your suggestions are needed to help our school and district planning teams to identify key actions and services to meet the needs of ALL students. Please share your thoughts on our efforts to promote academic achievement and well-being, and engage students and their families in the school and district. Our fourth meeting of the year will take place on Thursday, 1/30 at approximately 4pm in Room 21. All are welcome to attend.

The survey will be administered on February 3 - February 7, 2020. This is a very important survey that will help promote better health and well-being among our youth, improve the school learning environment and combat problems such as drug abuse and violence.

Let's finish the semester strong and turn in all work before the semester ends on 12/20. Teachers will be closing their grade books sometime that week, so don't procrastinate students, get your work in now!

Come check out of very own Jaguars as they compete right here at STEAM in our VEX Robotics League with Downey and Brea. Next competition is Saturday, 12/14, at 8am.

We are thankful to all of the staff for their dedication to bring meaningful learning opportunities to our students and thankful to all of our students for taking ownership of their education and giving 100% everyday. Have a restful break! See you bright and early on Monday, 12/2, ready to learn!

Please join our Superintendent for a "Listen and Learn" session this Wednesday, 11/20/19, at 6 P.M. at The STEAM Academy. Dr. Esparza would like to engage STEAM parents in dialogue and discussion regarding the current events in El Rancho. Dr. Esparza will be available to provide updates and answer questions.
