The El Rancho Unified School District is hosting a School of Choice Fair for our community. Families are welcome to come out and discover the range of educational opportunities and options available across all ERUSD schools. The event will be held on Saturday, March 9th at Salazar High School cafeteria. Please see the attached flyer for more details about the event. We hope you can join us!

7th Graders - Interested in traveling to New York? Eager to learn more about our American history by visiting Washington D.C.? This trip is for YOU! Our annual Eastern Seaboard trip will be taking place April 2020! Early enrollment has officially opened. We will have our first Parent Meeting on Thursday, February 21st, at 6:30 pm, in the Library.

As required as part of the data needed for both grants and LCAP, the district will
again administer the California Healthy Kids Survey to grades 5, 7, 9, and 11, and
all students at Salazar High School.

We are pleased to announce that the STEAM Academy @ Burke is now accepting admissions applications for the 2019-20 school year. The deadline to submit an application is April 12th. The application can be found on the STEAM Academy’s website home page and under the student tab. Please remember that only those students who live outside of the school’s boundaries need to submit an application.

Parents, we invite you to attend our STEAM PBL Family Night on Tuesday, December 4th at 5:30 p.m. You will receive valuable information about Project Based Learning, including the driving questions and expectations for each grade level as well as important dates and ways you can help your child through the PBL process. Snacks and beverages will be provided. Teachers will be on hand to answer questions.

Interested in learning more about how to help your middle school child? The third session of STEAM Parent Academy will be held on Thursday, 11/29 @ 6pm in the cafeteria. Come learn about how to help your child in math and on the state tests.

Halloween was celebrated here at STEAM on Friday, 10/26. As such, no costumes will be allowed on the actual Halloween day. Students who do show up in a costume will be asked to change into their PE clothes.
