News and Announcements

The purpose of this survey is to obtain information from the students about their knowledge, attitudes and behavior about things that affect learning. It deals with such issues as truancy, safety, harassment, substance use, school connectedness, and learning supports.

Student participation is very important and anonymous, but voluntary; if you would like to opt-out, please contact the front office. The information provided will help guide district and school efforts to promote safety, enhance learning supports, improve student achievement, and reduce health risks that stand as barriers to learning.

There will be no school on Thursday, 1/11/18, and Monday, 1/15/18 (MLK day). School will be in session on Friday, 1/12.

A new semester has begun. We hope you will take advantage of this new beginning to improve your grades and academic performance. We hope you will continue to take advantage of all of the tutoring offered.

Our Winter music concert will be held this Friday, December 8th at 6pm in the cafeteria. We hope you can join us to enjoy some holiday music played by our band, mariachi, and choir students. See you there!

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, there will be no school on November 23 and 24.
November 22nd is a modified day and the office will be closing at 3:30pm. We send warm wishes to all from the STEAM Academy @ Burke. May all of your homes be filled with love and happiness!

The next SSC Meeting will be held on Thursday, 11/16 @ 4pm in the library. All are welcome to attend.

Jaguars, Halloween activities at STEAM Academy will take place on Friday, 10/27 ONLY. Students will be allowed to wear costumes on 10/27 ONLY. As a reminder, the school dress code does apply. Costumes should be appropriate for the season. In years past we have noticed costumes to be excessively revealing and inappropriate for the environment and/or age.
