Class Schedule Pick-up

Schedule pick up is as follows:
8th grade - 8/10 from 9-11am
7th grade - 8/10 from 12-2pm
6th grade - 8/11 from 9-11am
7th and 8th grade must complete data Confirmation through parent portal. 6th grade must complete registration forms available on our website (http://steam.erusd.org/apps/pages/index.jsp?uREC_ID=312515&type=d&pREC_ID=717971).

Free and Reduced Meal Applications and Meal Prices

It is time to turn in Free and Reduced meal Applications. THE APPLICATIONS MUST BE COMPLETED EACH YEAR; they DO NOT transfer to the following year. You can now complete them online! Link: https://elranchousd.rocketscanapps.com/
Hard copies are also available in the office. Parents must complete and submit the application, students cannot submit applications themselves. Application deadline is fast approaching!

Meal prices have changed to the following prices: breakfast is $1.50; lunch is $2.50.

No Tdap Vaccine, No School!

Whooping cough, also known as pertussis, continues to be widespread in California. To help stop its spread, state law mandates that ALL students entering 7th grade be vaccinated and provide proof of a Tdap vaccine booster at the beginning of the school year. Online Student Registration

STEAM Academy has moved to online registration through Data Confirmation . In order to register your child for next school year, you MUST have a Parent Portal account. Click on this news item to download a copy of the step by step instructions.

First day of school for 17/18 year is August 16th.

You can now register through Parent Portal! If you have questions about the process, please call the office at 562-801-5059. Be prepared for the Dress Code; stock up on polos and buy your spirit shirts today!

Spring Concert, Friday May 26th at 6pm

Come one and all to the FREE Spring Concert put on by our very own Mariachi master, Mr Mendez! The Mariachi, Band, and Choir will all be performing in the Cafeteria on campus beginning at 6pm. For more information, please email Mr Mendez.

East Coast Trip 2018 Meeting, 5/25/17 @ 6:30pm Room 19

Interested in experiencing Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. with your classmates and teachers? You're invited to the Exponential Sprint @ Birney Tech Academy

On Saturday, May 20 @ 9:30am, El Rancho Unified School District welcomes Team Exponent to Birney Tech Academy's Innovation Lab in Pico Rivera, CA to conduct an exclusive STEAM event for students between the ages of 8-13 years old. This unique event provides an opportunity for students to experience what it's like to be a part of a high-impact team and solve for significant challenges facing humanity, such as climate change. This will definitely be an opportunity you don’t want your child to miss. We hope to see you there!

Yearbooks on sale, buy one today!

Yearbooks are now being sold for $30, first come, first served. Get one before they sell out! Visit Mrs. Martin in room 7 before school, after school, or during nutrition or lunch. Cash only.

SBAC Testing is Coming!

Testing starts Thursday, 4/27. Please make sure students get plenty of rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and are prepared to do their best! Click on the news link for more information and the full testing calendar.

Jaguar Parent Newsletter

Gold Ribbon and Title 1 Academic Achievement Awards

We are very proud to announce that STEAM Academy @ Burke has been awarded a 2017 Gold Ribbon Award and a Title 1 Academic Achievement Award by the CA Department of Education. A big thanks to our students, teachers, staff, and families for all of their hard work!
