Now Accepting Applications for 22-23 School Year

We are pleased to announce that the STEAM Academy @ Burke is now accepting admissions applications for the 2022-23 school year. The deadline to submit an application is April 22nd. The application can be found on the STEAM Academy’s website home page and under the student tab. Please remember that only those students who live outside of the school’s boundaries need to submit an application.

Promotion Ceremony 6/8/2022 @ 10:30AM

The STEAM Academy will be holding the 8th grade promotion ceremony on our campus on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at 10:30AM. See the attached flyer for more information. Please note that each student is limited to two guests and you must "register" those guests by Monday, 6/6 at 9pm, via the survey sent through their email.

Since the ceremony is earlier than in the past, students will need to return to class after the ceremony. If you would like to check them out, you must fill out and return (or bring day of) the "early check out form" that has been emailed to all parents and sent home with 8th graders as well.

School Site Council Meeting #6, 4/21/22 @ 4pm

We will be holding our sixth School Site Council Meeting on Thursday, 4/21/22 at 4pm via zoom. The schedule can be found on our website under the "Parents" tab, then "School Site Council." We will be reviewing changes to the SPSA budget and answering questions about summer school, the locker rooms, etc. While only SSC members can vote, all are welcome to attend. Meeting info can be found on the STEAM Activities calendar and the link is included in the title.

Congratulations to our Amazing Robotics teams!!

4 out of 5 of our Robotics teams qualified for State Playoff spots. 3 of those teams made it into the Finals tournament, 2 teams made it to the quarter finals, and 1 team made it all the way to the semi-finals!! We are so proud of our Jaguars for all of the hard work and dedication they demonstrated this year. Huge shout out to our Robotics teachers, Mr Ormseth, Mr Garcia, and Mr Manzanares!! Thank you for all that you do for our students!!

School Site Council Meeting #4, 2/3/22 @ 4pm

We will be holding our fourth School Site Council Meeting on Thursday, 2/3/22 at 4pm via zoom. The schedule can be found on our website under the "Parents" tab, then "School Site Council." We will be reviewing changes to the SPSA budget, discussing changes to the SSC composition, and reviewing the School Safety Plan. While only SSC members can vote, all are welcome to attend.
