Need to clear an absence for your child? You can now clear absences online. On our school website, go to the parents tab, and select "Report an Absence Online."

At The STEAM Academy, we want to make sure our school is a safe and positive environment for student learning. To help us insure this, we have been using a program called the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program. In order to continue to provide appropriate programs, we must gather key information from our students.

Your child will soon have the opportunity to participate in a questionnaire to help us continue to use an intervention approach that will best match your child’s school. The questionnaire is a standardized, validated tool for assessing bullying problems in schools. If you do not wish for your child to participate in this anonymous survey, please return the attached flyer with your child's name and your signature to the office.

Come in and check on your child's progress during our Student-Led Conferences on 10/29 from 1-3:30pm and 4:30-7pm. We hope to see you there!

Parents, here are some tips for making sure your student's Halloween costume adheres to The STEAM Academy's dress code.

This year, The STEAM Academy students will have the opportunity to participate in one of 3 science camps. 8th graders can go to AstroCamp, 7th graders can go to Catalina Island, and 6th graders can go camping in the Santa Monica Mountains. Parents, are you having difficulty helping your child with math homework? Attend the next session of the Parent Math Academy and get help from your child's math teacher. The next session will be on 10/16 @ 6pm in the cafeteria. We hope to see you there!

Our SSC meeting will be held tomorrow, 10/7 @ 4pm in room 33. All are welcome to attend. See you there!

Please join us at Falcone's on Slauson Ave. on Thursday, 9/25 for our school-wide fundraiser. A portion of the sales from 3-9pm will be donated to our school. Thank you for your support!
