Are you interested in sending your child on his/her grade level science camp? If so, please click on this news story for more information about dates and prices. The first deposit for all 3 camps is due Wednesday, 9/28. Deposits will be accepted from 7:30am-8am. There are limited spots which will be filled on a first come-first served basis.

The STEAM Academy will be holding its “Back to School Night” Thursday, September 1st, from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. A meeting for the parents will be held in the Auditorium beginning at 5:00pm. Visits to classrooms will begin at 5:30pm. Your participation in this event is very important. Our student council will be selling t-shirts, food, drinks, and ASB cards beginning at 5pm. We hope to see you there.

STEAM students (who are currently in the 6th or 7th grade) have the opportunity to be part of history. Sign-up your student for the January 2017 Inauguration Trip to Washington, DC. In addition to seeing all of the amazing sites, STEAM students will be able to witness the swearing-in ceremony of the 45th president of the United States. There are only a few spots left, so reserve your spot now. Contact Ms. Adame or Mrs. Martin if you have any questions. There will be an information meeting on September 7th at 5:30pm in room 17 at The STEAM Academy.

It's almost the end of the first semester already! Semester ends 12/16; make sure all missing assignments are made up and turned in and communicate with teachers to ensure expectations have been met. The following day Winter Break begins 12/17-1/8, returning to school 1/9/17.

The Winter Concert will be taking place on Friday, Dec. 9 at 6pm right here on campus. Look out for more information to follow.

Come out and support our STEAM Academy Advanced Mariachi as they perform at the Tree Lighting Ceremony this Sunday, December 4th. Our mariachi will be performing at 6:00pm. This event will be featuring mariachi and choral performances, arts and crafts, train rides, a snow play area, and a special visit from Santa! The event spotlights the lighting of the Holiday Tree.

Brown University is conducting research on the college-going culture and preparedness of our middle school students on behalf of ERUSD and the Cisneros Foundation.

We are pleased to announce that the STEAM Academy @ Burke is currently accepting admissions applications for the 2016-17 school year. The deadline to submit an application is March 25th. The application can be found on the STEAM Academy’s website, steam.erusd.org. Please remember that only those students who live outside of the school’s boundaries need to submit an application.
